Ramya has a shocking news for her fans. The Golden Girl has decided to bid goodbye to films after the elections. She is facing her first polls in forthcoming by election as she is contesting from the Mandya constituency.
Speaking to a daily, Ramya has said that her career in films will be ending soon. She will not be acting in any movie here after. This comes as a shocker as the actress is in the peak of her career.
"This is the end. I don't think I'm going to be doing any more movies. If you look at other actresses they get into politics when their careers are waning. I'm still at the top," a leading daily quoted Ramya as saying.
Ramya claims that people would not like an MP to sport short skirts and sleeveless blouses and running around the trees. Hence, she is bidding goodbye to acting.
"Ambareesh uncle and Govinda could do both, but I don't think the public will accept an MP who is running around trees in short skirts and sleeveless blouses." She explains, "As it is, since I got the ticket out of the blue, I am returning the advance for two films that I have already signed, one with Sudeep and one with the Sanju Mattu Geetha team."
Ramya says that she doesn't think she could be an MP as well as a heroine. It is very difficult to balance both the profession.
When asked whether Ramya could do justice to her constituency in limited 9-month time, she said that she will do whatever it is possible from her side.

She could ask the same ticket to contest the next elections if she wins but if the actress loses, she would work hard to ensure that she gets a ticket in future.
The Golden Girl's entry into the full-time politics was not a bed of roses as she was welcomed by a cheap comment from a politician.

All Ramya said was, she was not aware of the comment until she stepped out for the campaigns. The actress said that she does not like to react to such remarks.
