Golden Girl Ramya had enough share of controversies in her decade-old career. There are instances where silly issues were blown out of proportion and some times her straight-forward attitude was wrongly read that eventually landed her in troubles. Nonetheless, she has continued to be the most-sought after actress in Kannada films.
Ramya created a controversy for the first time in Prem's Excuse Me, her second movie, way back in 2003. The actress had rejected costumes given by the makers of the movie and the director went on to argue with her that even Ameesha Patel wouldn't mind wearing it. As expected, the actress registered her first controversy to her name.
Since then, it has followed Ramya every now and then, till the recent photo controversy where a snap of the actress made a huge negative noise.
Well, Ramya was asked by the anchor on her 'controversial queen' tag on Suguna's Straight Hit recently, which made the actress to open up. What she said in the interview? Find it on the slideshow...
I Don't Hurt Anyone: Ramya
Ramya says, "You ask anyone about my character, they'll tell you all. I'm the best friend you can have. I'm loyal, friendly and very straight forward. I don't talk behind other's back. I don't hurt anyone and that is not in my nature."
Recalls Dandam Dashagunam Incident
Recalling an incident, Ramya claims, "I had helped Dandam Dashagunam producer. In turn, I was blamed for doing it. The most ridiculous part of the story is that they banned me. I was very hurt."
"Even after doing so much to the producer, I was criticised, which was ridiculous. Luckily, Ambareesh uncle solved the issue," Ramya continues.
What Did She Learn From The Episode?
Ramya explains, "People in the industry could change any time and even your trusted men will show their true face during the hour of crisis."
When asked about her recent Neer Dose controversy, Ramya hesitated a bit before answering it as the issue is still in the court.
Neer Dose Controversy
"I'm not supposed to talk about the issue. Well, when the two members from a TV channel came to the sets of Neer Dose, I greeted them and we chatted for sometime. I requested them not to take photos or videos as I was not interested to reveal my looks," Ramya said.
Ramya Taken For Granted
Ramya claims, "I told them that I was uncomfortable and I believed that they would understand my situation because one among the two was a girl. After finishing a shot, I came to my seat and I was eating something and then I realised that they were taking my photographs."
"I walked straight into my caravan and called Vijay Prasad to ask him whether he had invited media for which he said no. Later, we had fight and someone released it on a social networking site," Ramya says.
Why Ramya Lost Her Temper?
Ramya adds, "As per the Neer Dose contract, the makers of the film should take my approval before releasing photos of mine. We are very concerned about our promotions. We have a strategy for the same and we want to build a kind of curiosity, but this unnecessary incident did not help the cause. So, I became angry."
Meanwhile, Ramya is also busy with Kodi Ramakrishna's bilingual movie, Prajwal Devaraj starrer Dil Ka Raja and Shivaraj Kumar's Aryan directed by D Rajendra Babu.
