Ravichandran and Kiccha Sudeep's first combo movie has generated a lot of hype. From the day it was announced, the film is making news for one or the other reasons. Latest news about the film is that the flick was launched recently without much fanfare.
The regular shooting of the untitled flick will start from August 25. The official announcement of the movie will be made on Sudeep's birthday (September 2). The forthcoming movie is a remake of Telugu hit movie Mirchi, which starred Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj in the lead roles.
While Sudeep will be enacting the role played by Prabhas in the original, Ravichandran will be stepping into the shoes of Sathyaraj in the Kannada version. However, Kiccha has tweaked the script to suit the taste of local audience.
More importantly, major changes have been made in the script for Ravichandran's character. Sathyaraj had played the role of Prabhas' father in the film. But in the Kannada version, the Crazy Star will be seen as Kiccha's brother. Adding to that he will have a bigger role than Sathyaraj.
When it comes to heroines, Ramya was selected to play Sudeep's love interest in the movie. But the actress, after signing on the dotted lines, has now backed out of the film due to her political commitments. Meanwhile, Juhi Chawla was approached to play opposite Ravichandran, but she turned down the offer. Hence, Ramya Krishnan has been signed for the same.
