Actress Subhiksha, who is making her Sandalwood debut with the forthcoming movie Anjadu Gandu, is all set to play the lead role in English feature film, Drawing Blood. It is reported that the movie deals with the story of an artist.
Subhiksha has confirmed the news to leading daily, and said, "I play the role of a traditional North Indian girl Vedha in the movie and the director had auditioned more than 100 girls before narrowing in on me. The movie has come out well and we are also expecting an award for the movie."
In Kannada, Subhiksha is sharing screen space with Lucia star Sathish Neenasam in Anjada Gandu. The actress plays the role of a village girl in the movie, which has been extensively shot in Mandya and Madikeri districts.
Anjada Gandu, which is directed by Pradeep Raj, is the remake of Tamil movie Manam Kothi Paravai. Apart from Sathish and Subhiksha, the movie also features Dattatreya aka Dattana, Naghabarana, Suman, Raju Talikote and Chikkanna in the important roles.
Currently, Subhiksha is busy with the shooting of Tamil movie, Ninaithathu Yaaro. She is playing the role of a software engineer in the movie and it features has Rejith and Nemitha in the lead roles. The film is directed by Vikraman.
