The film opened up to positive reviews on the release day. Most
of the critics gave thumbs up to Bachchan and his fans
have grandly welcomed the Kannada film. As per the
Bachchan team, the flick has collected more than Rs 5
crore in the first weekend.
Director Shashank said, "Bachchan released in about 194
theatres in Karnataka. On day one, it raked in Rs 1.5 cr. But the
collection dropped to some extent the next day as it was not a
working day. On Friday, it managed to collect Rs 1 crore and the
business remained the same on Saturday too. However, on Sunday, the
film did wonderful business on the opening day by collecting Rs 1.5

On the opening day, the occupancy for the film in major theatres
were cent percent. Especially in Bangalore, the film ran to packed
houses in most of the theatres.

An industry observer said, "A theatre like Venkateshwara Theatre
in Avalahalli, which has a seating capacity of 1000, was almost
house full on the release day and in the weekend. In places like
Shimoga, North Canara and North Karnataka, Davangere, and a couple
of other regions, it has done wonderful collections."
New Bench Mark
He further adds, "The figure emerging from the trade circle
reveals that Bachchan has set a new bench mark at the Box
Office in the opening weekend."
Bachchan is an revenge-drama starring Sudeep, Bhavana,
Parul Yadav and Tulip Joshi. The film is directed by Shashank and
produced by Uday K Mehta.
