Kiccha Sudeep, who was seen as a tough cop in Kempe Gowda is all set to come up with the sequel of the movie. It is likely to go on floors in January or February 2014. Kempe Gowda was the remake of Tamil Blockbuster Singam.
Sudeep had announced that he will start the shooting of Kempe Gowda 2 in September 2011. But, the actor was busy with other projects, which he had signed before Kempe Gowda.
Again the rumours of Sudeep coming up with the sequel of Kempe Gowda were on, when Singam 2 was released in July this year. But, Kiccha was tight lipped about the project.
It is reported that Shankar Gowda, who had produced Kempe Gowda has announced the sequel of the movie on Sudeep's Birthday and said that it will not be the remake of Singam 2, but an original script.
Kempe Gowda deals with the story of a village cop, who locks his horns with a don (Arumugam) who will be based out of Bangalore in a murder case. Sudeep, who directed the movie, had changed many scenes from the original to suit the taste of the local audience.
