Trishul, the director of the movie, spoke to Oneindia about the movie, Veena Malik and more. Here are the excerpts from the interview:
Tell us about Silk Sakkath Hot.
People think that Silk Sakkath Hot is all about glamour. I agree with it. But the film has more than hot and sensuous scenes. Please note that you could only see such things in songs. What happens in a girl's life is the story of the movie. We know about 'Navarasas' (Nine emotions), in this movie, we will show you 10.
Happiness, sadness, comedy, suspense, love, action and romance are part of the flick. I have tried to tell about AIDS, eye-donation, etc. All I could say is that there are lot of messages in Silk Sakkath Hot. Human has 72 thousand nerves in his body and just losing one in it could prove costly. We have said such things in the form of dialogues. I'm eagerly waiting for the movie to hit the screens.

What Made You Choose Veena Malik?
You will be surprised to hear this. In her name itself there is a connection to Goddess Saraswathi (Veena is the musical instrument played by the Goddess). I did not find any actress in Kannada film industry who could do justice to this role. People will realise it once they see Silk Sakkath Hot.
What Would You Like To Say About The Threats By Sri Rama Sene...
People have told me that many theatres are getting threats over screening Silk Sakkath Hot. I'm not sure whether there is some truth in it. I appreciate such organisations, which are fighting for our land. But people should not interfere when it comes to arts and sports. Pakistanis comes here to play cricket and vice-versa. Our films are releasing in Pakistan. In fact, these factors build a good relationship between two countries. Hence, organisations like Sri Rama Sene should not trouble or threaten anyone, who is connected to sports and cinema field.
Did You Face Any Language Issue With Veena Malik?
We never had such issues. Veena Malik is a dedicated actress and she used to prepare for her character well in advance. The actress used to do her homework before coming to the sets. She used to repeatedly practise her dialogues. Today, she has reached a place where she could sing in Kannada. In fact, she was supposed to croon a number in Silk Sakkath Hot, but it did not happen for some reasons.
Is Silk Sakkath Hot A Biopic On Yesteryear Sex Siren Silk Smitha?
There is no connection between Silk Smitha and our movie. The only link one could see is the word 'Silk'.
Highlights Of Silk Sakkath Hot...
Apart from entertainment, we throw light on what's happening in our country but we leave the audience to decide what is the solution for the issues. People will be moved to tears in the climax. There is a different kind of feel in Silk Sakkath Hot for which you should watch the movie.
You Have Packed The Movie With Too Many Intimate Scenes...
You could only see it in Bollywood. No other industry, other than Hindi films, have tried to make such a bold movie. I felt why we should not give it a try. The script demanded such sequences. Hence, we did not hesitate to shoot it.
About The Technicalities Of Silk Sakkath Hot..
There are times when we should only shoot a single scene in a day. It is because we have given importance to the quality of the product. All I could say is that the movie is brilliant when it comes to technical departments.
Is Silk Sakkath Hot Being Dubbed To Other Languages?
Many producers from other industries have already approached us. Offers have come from about 16 languages for the rights. I'll be re-shooting some portions for Tamil and Telugu languages. For an example, the sequences of Sadhu Kokila in Kannada will be shot on Vadivelu in Tamil, and Brahmanandam in Telugu.
What Is The Budget Of Silk Sakkath Hot?
We have spent over Rs 6 crores on the film. I had made a movie named Baba earlier. The budget of the movie was Rs 40 lakhs, and we shot the film in just 20 days. Well, it did not earn me a name in the industry. But Silk Sakkath Hot has already brought me under limelight. Now, people are recognising me. The credit should go to the media, which has given a good publicity.
