ANR's Death Shocks Shivaraj Kumar
Shivaraj Kumar said, "Nageshwara Rao sir and my father Rajkumar shared a good rapport, both of our family have brotherhood bond. I am very sad to hear about his death. May his soul rest in peace."

"He used to meet my father Rajkumar, whenever he is in Bangalore. In the same way Appaji usedto never return from Hyderabad without visiting Akkineni's place," Shivaraj Kumar added.

Shivanna also said that Nageshwara Rao's death is not just loss for Tollywood, but it is a big loss for our Indian cinema.
Dwarkish said, "Nageswara Rao sir used to talk in Kannada with me. He had informed about his ill-health to me long back, and said he is having a strong will power, and people's best wishes."
Sandalwood ace actor Doddanna said, "It is a big loss for film industry, we can't imagine Telugu film industry without Nageshwara Rao sir. May his soul rest in peace."
