After returning from Singapore, Karnataka Housing Minister and Sandalwood's ace actor Rebel Star Ambareesh has resumed the shooting of his upcoming multi-starrer movie Ambareesha. The latest buzz from Gandhinagara is that the movie, which features Challenging Star Darshan in the lead role will see Ambi playing the role of Bangalore founder Kempe Gowda.
Ambareesha, which features Challenging Star Darshan in the lead role has Rachita Ram, Priyamani, Umashree and others in the important roles. The movie is presently in the last shooting schedule and likely to wrap up by the end of May. Recently on the sets of Ambareesha, Ambi was seen dressing up in a traditional war attire, which looks like Bangalore King Kempe Gowda. (Glamorous Avatar of Priyamani In Ambareesha).
However, this is not the first time Ambareesh is playing historical figure. In 2006, he had portrayed the role of Veera Madakari Nayaka, who is the last king of Chitradurga in Kalarali Hoovagi. The movie, which was directed by TS Naghabarana had Vijaya Raghavendra and Uma in the lead role. Ambareesha is the third combination of Darshan and Ambareesh. Earlier the duo were seen in the Blockbuster movies like Annavru and Bulbul. The movie is being directed by K Madesh.
