It's a known fact that the fourth edition of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL 4) was also spreading 'Anti-Tobacco' campaign, besides entertainment. Few biggies of Indian Film industries like Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Telugu ace actor Victory Venkatesh, and others also raised their voice for the campaign and requested people to quit smoking.
However, Ashok Kheny, the owner of Karnataka Bulldozers team was different as he took the campaign to request one of the Sandalwood's versatile actor to quit smoking. Yes Ashok's request was to none other than Rebel Star Ambareesh, who was hospitalised on February 21.
Talking about the campaign, Ashok Kheny said, "I request my dear friend Ambareesh to quit smoking. I know I am very young to tell this to a senior person like Ambi, but it is my duty to say this, as I cannot see him suffering from tobacco's adverse effect. It's not just my request, I am requesting on behalf of all the people of Karnataka."
A day, before the semi-final match of CCL 4, Ambareesh was rushed to Vikram hospital after he suffered from breathing problem and chest pain. The actor, who was diagnosed with respiratory problem due to lung infection is reportedly getting slowly recovered and expected to get discharged in two days.
