Seems like Sandalwood's ace music director Gurukiran is upset with Internet. The music director says internet is killing audio industry, as it's owing the free download trend. Guru, who also claims that Free downloads have dipped the sales of CD's and Cassettes, asks people to enjoy the music in a legal way.
Gurukiran said, "It's a major hit on a broadcasting site, but when it comes to the audio industry as a whole, I'm upset that it's on a downward trend. Sales of CDs have dipped, owing to free downloads. I hope people realize that music is to be cherished and not killed."
The track 'Pyaarge aagbitaithe' from Govindaya Namaha, which was composed by Gurukiran made a huge buzz on YouTube by getting record number of hits in a short period of time. However, the music composer, who clears that it is his personal opinion is all set to perform in Kadri Jaathre. The fair celebrated in coastal region of Karnataka will also be graced by many biggies of Sandalwood.
Talking about the fair, which is close to his heart, Guru said, "I've been associated with this event since my childhood; I performed here last year too." Gurukiran is reportedly performing the other popular numbers 'Bandal badhai,' 'Bari olu' and 'Kolle' in the fair.
