Kiccha Sudeep, who is currently busy with the post-production work of his directorial venture Maanikya, had turned to be a common man on Monday (April 14). The simple reason for this is the actor visited the Triveni theatre in Gandhinagara to watch Sandalwood's classic Khaidi starring Sahasa Simha Vishnuvardhan.
Amidst his busy schedule, Sudeep had made it a point to not to miss the classic movie and to watch it with the common audience. Sudeep, who was overwhelmed by seeing the crowd near the theatre, has thanked the fans and revealed this is the love and affection every artist expects from his/her fans.
"Though the movie is 30 years old and Vishnu sir is not here, still the hall was packed. I was surprised to see this. What more can an artist expect from his fans?" said Sudeep, who will be releasing Maanikya in last week of April 2014.
The movie was the remake of Telugu hit Khaidi. It had Chiranjeevi, Madhavi, Sumalatha and Rao Gopal Rao in pivotal roles. Apart from Vishnuvardhan, Khaidi also featured Madhavi, Aarathi, Jayamalini, Sangeetha, Nithya, Anuradha, Dheerendra Gopal, Mukhyamantri Chandru, Sudarshan, BK Shankar and Dingri Nagaraj in the important roles. Later, it was also remade in Hindi featuring Jitendra in the lead role. Actress Madhavi played the lead role in all three versions of the movie.
