Sandalwood ace director Yogaraj Bhat has roped in Hindi actor Manjot Singh to play lead role in his Bollywood debut. The director is likely to start the shooting for the untitled movie in February for which he is working on the script from eight years.
The untitled movie is produced by B Suresh, who had earlier worked with Bhat in the movies like Mani and Puttakkana Highway. Earlier, Suresh had also confirmed that they have roped in multilingual actor Prakash Raj to play an important role in the movie.
Talking about the movie, Yogaraj Bhat said, "The producer duo of B Suresha and Shylaja Nag will be behind this film, which we had initially called Helmet. But that title is already with someone else, so we will start shooting as an untitled film, till we find something suitable."
Bhat also added that presently the audition is in Mumbai to find the right girl for the female lead, and he also zeroed in on Om Puri to play an important role in the movie. "I have had to sacrifice a lot to get to this point. There were opportunities to make films with Sudeep and Yash, but I had to forego that. I'm looking forward to make my Hindi debut now," he says.
