Navya Nair Is Happy To Play Mother In Drishyam Remake

Malayalee beauty Navya Nair, who is making her comeback on Sandalwood screen with the Kannada remake of Malayalam movie Drishyam, has said that she is very happy to play young mother in the movie. The actress, who made her Sandalwood debut with Gaja, is paired opposite Crazy Star Ravichandran in the remake film. (Navya Nair To Romance Ravichandran In Drishyam Remake).

Navya Nair will step into the shoes of southern actress Meena in the Kannada remake and Ravichandran will be essaying Mohanlal's role. Navya, who plays the young mother in the movie says that it is a challenging role, which made her to accept the offer.

Navya said, "I agreed to do the movie because the character was very strong. It is also a challenging role for me in my career. Being a mother for 17 year old daughter is not the question here, but the role is very important for me." The remake movie, which has started its shooting from the last week, at Coorg, is likely to hit screen in May 2014.

Music maestro Ilayaraja is scoring the music for the movie, which is being directed by P Vasu. Apart from Ravi and Navya, the Kannada remake of Drishyam also features Prabhu, Asha Sarath and others in the significant roles.
