Kannada
actress
Neetu,
who
is
currently
busy
with
the
shooting
of
an
item
number
in
Kannada
remake
of
Telugu
hit
Dookudu,
has
bagged
Pooja
Gandhi's
Abhinetri.
The
actress
will
be
seen
essaying
the
role
of
70s
heroine.
It
is
reported
that
Neethu
will
be
playing
Pooja
Gandhi's
rival
in
the
film,
which
also
features
Atul
Kulkarni
and
Markrand
Deshpande
in
the
significant
roles.
Abhinetri,
which
is
considered
as
the
comeback
movie
for
Pooja
is
directed
by
Satish
Pradan.
Talking
about
her
role
in
the
film,
Neetu
said,
"As
artists,
we
play
many
characters.
But
it's
not
often
that
we
get
to
play
ourselves.
I
enjoyed
playing
a
70s
heroine.
It
was
fun
sporting
beehive
buns
and
high-waisted
langa-dhavani.
Besides,
Pooja
and
I
have
done
many
shows
together
and
share
a
good
rapport."
It
is
said
that
as
the
film
features
an
established
actress
like
Pooja
Gandhi
in
the
lead
role,
it
made
other
heroines
feel
that
their
cameo
would
go
unnoticed
and
that
it
wouldn't
be
a
wise
move
to
do
the
role.
Beside
playing
the
title
role,
Pooja
Gandhi
is
also
producing
the
movie
with
BS
Vyjayanthi.
However,
currently
Pooja
is
also
busy
with
the
shooting
of
Thipajji
Circle.
