See Photo: Srinagara Kitty-Pooja Gandhi To Recreate The Magic Of Dr Rajkumar-Kalpana In Abhinetri

Sandalwood's forthcoming movie Abhinetri is gossiped to be the real life-story of Kannada's yesteryear actress Kalpana. The recent song shoot of the movie has now added more to this rumour. The simple reason for this is the shooting of the track 'Thamnam thamnam' where Pooja Gandhi was seen romancing Diamond Star Srinagara Kitty. (Photos: Pooja Gandhi-Atul Kulkarani Erotic Scenes).

The new track crooned by Shreya Ghoshal is from the Sandalwood's classic Eradu Kanasu, where the earlier version was featured on Kannada's cultural icon Dr Rajkumar and Kalpana. Instead of remixing the old song, Satish Pradhan, director of Abhinetri, has re-arranged the lyrics to retain the melody of the track.

"We cannot forget the melodiousness of the old track, and none of the romantic songs in Kannada created that magic in later days. Instead of remixing and disturbing the old lyrics, I decided to re-arrange the lyrics and score the music. When we were in search for a romantic hero for the song, Kitty sir's name came to my mind," says Satish, who wrapped up the song shooting in two days.

"Commercial hero like Kitty sir would have demanded a bomb to be part of the song, but he has not taken any remuneration for his work. It is a friendly affair with the down-to-earth person," says Pooja Gandhi, who is all set to make her comeback as Abhinetri on Kannada screen.
