It is reported that more than 1,000 people were present in the naming ceremony of the road as 'Dr Vishnuvardhan Rasthe'.

Bangalore In-charge minister Ramlinga Reddy, ex-deputy chief minister of Karnataka R Ashok and Bangalore South MP Ananth Kumar had graced the event.
