Poonam Pandey To Appear Before Court!

By Sandesh

Karnataka High court has stayed a warrant issued to Mumbai lass and model Poonam Pandey by a lower court. It has ordered Poonam to appear before the court on or before February 12, 2014.

It is said that Poonam was missing the court trial, and was evading from Bangalore cops since many days. It is related to the case that is pending against her in Bangalore Court. In 2012, a person, who is based out of Bangalore had filed a private complaint against Poonam, alleging that she had hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus by posing semi-nude in front of Lord Vishnu. The actress was shooting for an ad, in front of the photograph of God Vishnu.

However, Poonam Pandey has denied that she is not escaping from the police and it is not necessary for her to do so. She said, "Why will I run from the cops? I am not a terrorist. I am not in hiding."

Talking about the issue, Poonam said, "The petitioner has alleged that I posed nude, and that too in front of a deity. I am a Hindu and I would never do something like that. I agree that I wear bikinis, but I have my limitations. This was a morphed picture. In fact, I have submitted the original to the court."
