The actress, who is currently a busy bee in South Indian film industry will be essaying the role of actress turned politician Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's role in the Hindi movie titled Amma.
It is reported that the story of the film Amma is inspired from the real life of Jayalalithaa, who was also an actress in South Indian film industry before entering to politics. As Jayalalithaa is called as Amma in political circles, the name is said to be the perfect match for the title of the film, which will see Ragini as an actress turned politician.
Bollywood's most controversial filmmaker Faisal Saif will be directing Amma, who has also confirmed that Ragini Dwivedi will be playing the female lead in the movie. "Currently I am busy with the shooting of Hindi movie Main Hoo Rajinikanth, after which I will be taking up Amma. Ragini Dwivedi is confirmed to play female lead in the movie.
