Bangalore lass Ragini Dwivedi starrer Ragini IPS is all set to hit the screen on March 28, which is considered to be the biggest feast for Ugadi festival. For the first time in her career, Ragini will be seen in the action avatar in the film, in which she plays the role of tough cop.
Ragini IPS, directed by Anand P Raju is produced by Gandugali K Manju aka Kobri Manju. Talking about the movie, Ragini has said that the script was changed after the gruesome Delhi gang rape, which took place in 2012. She also says the movie will be giving the strong message for the society.
"We wanted to add a message that women need to learn to take care of themselves when confronted with a problematic situation. The film looks at this from the point of view of a woman, without getting preachy. We have shown just how women have to take care of themselves. When you are in a potentially dangerous situation what matters is how you deal with it and come out of it. That is what Ragini IPS is about," says the Thuppa girl, who adds that it is a honour for her to have a film named after her.
