Sandalwood's forthcoming movie, which is the remake of Malayalam hit Drishyam is all set to start its shooting from tomorrow, Tuesday March 11. The movie, which features Crazy Star Ravichandran and Malayalee beauty Navya Nair will be directed by P Vasu. (Ravichandran Suggested My Name For Drishyam Remake: Vasu)
Navya Nair will step into the shoes of southern actress Meena in the Kannada remake and Ravichandran will be essaying Mohanlal's role. The makers had scheduled the muhurtha of the Kannada remake of Drishyam in Coorg.
Earlier, Meena was likely to play the female lead in Kannada version too, as the actress had already started the shooting for the Telugu movie, Navya was zeroed for the role. Director P Vasu has cleared that Navya to fit the role of a mother and middle-aged wife perfectly, which made him rope in the actress. Drishyam, which happens to be biggest Malayalam blockbuster, is the story of a man's plight to cover up a murder committed by his family. Besides Kannada, Drishyam is also being remade in Telugu and Tamil. While Daggubati Venkatesh plays the lead in its Telugu version, Kamal Hassan will feature in the Tamil remake of the movie.
