Sudeep's Maanikya, Rakshith Shetty's Ulidavaru Kandanthe Out Of Ugadi Battle!

Earlier rumour mills were doing rounds in and around Gandhinagara about the Ugadi battle between the three big banner movies of Sandalwood. Abhinaya Chakravarthy Kicha Sudeep's directorial venture Maanikya, actor Rakshith Shetty's directorial debut Ulidavaru Kandanthe and Kannada lass Ragini Dwivedi's Ragini IPS had scheduled their release dates for Ugadi festival.

But the latest buzz is that the two movies - Maanikya and Ulidavaru Kandanthe is out of Ugadi battle as the makers will not able to release the movie for scheduled date. Sudeep's Maanikya, which is the remake of Telugu hit Mirchi, has postponed its release date to April, and the audio of the movie is likely to hit stores on March 25. The news of postponing the release date and audio release of Maanikya has been confirmed by none other than Sudeep himself. The actor, who took his micro-blogging site to reveal the news has written, "Maanikya release has been pushed to April...Will update the date soon. .. Audio to hit stands max before March 25."

If sources are to be believed then Rakshith Shetty's Ulidavaru Kandanthe, which was all set to release for Ugadi festival (Mar 28) is also likely to postpone its release as the movie is yet to be censored. Continue reading the story on slides...
