Kannada Superstar Abhinaya Chakravarthy Kiccha Sudeep, who is busy with the final shooting schedule of his directorial venture Maanikya, has revealed the release date of the movie. The actor, who had earlier geared up for Ugadi battle, will now be releasing the movie on April 25, 2014.
The news has been revealed by none other than Sudeep himself, who has took to his micro-blogging site to reveal the release date. "Almost towards th end of Post production..Maanikya is lookin gud.....shall post visual bits of songs soon. Tentatively 25th April is wat we r looking a fr release... Looks comfortable too," informs Kiccha, who is also playing the lead role in the film.
Maanikya, which is the remake of Telugu hit Mirchi, is the first combination of Kiccha Sudeep and Crazy Star Ravichandran. The original movie had Prabhas, Sathyaraj, Nadhiya and Anushka Shetty in the key roles.
Sudeep will be enacting the role played by Prabhas in the original, Ravichandran will be stepping into the shoes of Sathyaraj in Maanikya. More importantly, major changes have been made in the script for Ravichandran's character. Sathyaraj had played the role of Prabhas' father in the film. But in Maanikya, the Crazy Star will be seen as Sudeep's brother. Apart from Sudeep and Ravi, the movie also features Ramya Krishna, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Renya, Sadhu Kokila, Shobraj, Ravishankar and others in the key roles.
