Superstar Upendra starrer Brahma, which is said to be the big budget film of the actor in his career has reportedly created a new records in Sandalwood. If sources are to be believed the recent Kannada release has grossed Rs 9.75 crore in the first weekend collection at Karnataka Box Office.
Bangalore Mirror has reported that Brahma is the highest grossing Kannada film in the opening weekend. This has made Sandalwood's Mr Perfect Uppi to join Rs 10 crore club in Kannada industry, after Power Star Puneet Rajkumar, Kiccha Sudeep, Challenging star Darshan and Rocking Star Yash. Earlier, it was claimed that the movies of all these four actors have grossed Rs 10 crore. The first weekend collection, which has been claimed by the makers have been disputed by Sandalwood's trade analysts. However, director R Chandru, who is also the distributor for the movie, has cleared that he will be releasing the record making figure in this week, Friday (February 14).

Brahma, which was running packed houses on the first day of its release has grossed Rs 3.65 crores at the Box Office Collection.
Second Day Report
According to director R Chandru, on the second day of its release, Brahma has grossed Rs 2.40 crores.
Third Day Collection At Box Office
It is reported that the family audience had turned out in large number on its third day (Sunday), which has increased the Box Office Collection. On Sunday, the movie has approximately grossed Rs 3.70 crore.
Expected To Cross Rs 10 Crore On Monday
As the Monday's Box Office report of Brahma has not been released, the movie is expected in doing a decent business. Even if it is the 10% business of Saturday, the collection will easily cross Rs 10 crore.
Outright Of Brahma
Along with Puneet Rajkumar's Ninnindale, the outright of Brahma has been sold for Rs 15 crore. This is considered as the highest amount ever for Puneet and Uppi's films.
Awaiting For The Release Of Telugu And Tamil Versions
The Telugu and Tamil versions of Brahma will be releasing on February 21, which is also likely to create new records in upcoming days.
