Kannada movie Veerappan Attahasa, which was the biopic of dreaded forest brigand Veerappan, has been called as the big lie by Veerappan's wife Muthulakshmi. Recently she graced the movie launch event of Sandalwood's forthcoming film Muthulakshmi, which stars actress turned politician Pooja Gandhi in the title role.
Muthulakshmi movie is based on the real life of Veerappan's wife Muthulakshmi, which is being directed by newbie Jaggi. Addressing the press persons at the movie launch Muthulakshmi has alleged that in the movie Veerappan Attahasa director AMR Ramesh has projected the characters in the wrong way, which made her to take the challenge to show the truth to people. Muthulakshmi, who admits that upcoming film is based on her life said that she had challenged director AMR Ramesh then by saying that she would bring the reality on-screen one day. "AMR Ramesh collected all the information from me. But the way he projected and narrated the film was wrong. I had thrown an open challenge to him then itself and said that one fine day I will bring the reality on screen. Through this film Muthulakshmi, I will be showing the truth to people," says Muthulakshmi, who also added that she struggled to lead her life after eloping from forest. Muthulakshmi said, "This movie is based on my real-life incidence. It was my mistake that I married Veerappan. I lived with him for three years."

"The situation became worse as Veerappan became most wanted for both the states - Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. There was a continuous attack on him, which made me to elope from the forest," says Muthulakshmi.

She also added, "I came to Coimbatore and worked there for some time and struggled to lead my life, which is the main theme of the movie Muthulakshmi."
Veerappan Attahasa was released in early 2013, which had Arjun Sarja and Kishore in the lead roles.
