Why Did Yogaraj Bhat Drop Mungaru Male 2?

The 2nd part of block buster hit movie Mungaru Male was launched very recently. Titled as Mungau Male 2, the movie will see Ganesh reprising his role once again. Ganesh became an overnight star after the huge success of the movie. Along with him, the director Yogaraj Bhat also became a hot property in Sandalwood.

However, Mungaru Male 2 will not be directed by Yogaraj Bhat. The movie will instead be directed by Shashank of Krishnan Love Story fame. There were strong indications that the successful combination of Yogaraj Bhat and Ganesh will be making a new movie in 2015. Yogaraj Bhat himself had said that he was indeed going to work with Ganesh soon.

Now that it has been declared that Shashank will be directing the movie, it has raised the question as why did Yogaraj Bhat refuse to make Mungaru Male 2. Apparently, the maverick director is very busy right now. In 2015, he has plans of directing three new movies. He also plans on producing several others.

The producers of Mungaru Male 2 wanted to start the project immediately and therefore they could not wait for Yogaraj Bhat to finish his prior commitments. Will Yogaraj Bhat and Golden star Ganesh team up again from some new movie? Perhaps only the director can clarify on that topic.
