EXCLUSIVE: Bhajarangi Loki's Respect For Transgenders Increases After Acting In Rathaavara

Bhajarangi Loki aka Sourav Lokesh says his perception about transgenders changed, after playing Madevi in Rathaavara.

Sourav Lokesh as Madevi in Rathaavara, is the main highlight of the movie, opines the critics of Gandhinagara. The budding and good looking actor stole the show by playing a strong role of a transgender in the film.

Earlier, actors Upendra and Saikumar were appreciated for playing a cliche of transgenders in Kalpana, the official remake of Tamil movie Kalpana. Now, Bhajarangi Loki is grabbing the attention of viewers through Rathaavara.

The character of Sourav Lokesh hovers about transgenders, customs and mannerisms and the actor has nailed it completely.

Speaking to FilmiBeat Sourav said, "I was a very challenging role to me. When director's approached me, I took 20-30 days time and later accepted to the role of a trangender".

The actor also said that, "I watched many movies related to transgenders to understand their nature of behaviour".

When asked whether he would like to tell something about transgenders, Sourav revealed that, "Their is a major change after acting as a transgender. The way I see them now, is totally different the way I saw them before".

After watching Sourav's unexplainable performance in Rathaavara, actors Sharan, Shruti Hariharan, director Harsha and others have blown away, says sources.

After acting in 13 odd movies in KFI, Sourav got through Harsha's Bhajarangi in 2013. The actor gave an extraordinary performance opposite Shivarajkumar and won thousands of hearts of Kannada audiences.

The actor is presently working for Maruthi 800, which is the first time duo of Harsha and Sharan. A long way to go Sourav Lokesh aka Bhajarangi Lokesh, Kannada audiences have given 'thumbs up' for ur Madevi role in Rathaavara.
