Kamal Haasan To Play Shivarajkumar's Role In Tamil Version Of Kali?

Jogi Prem's upcoming movie Kali is making huge rounds in South film industry. The first ever multi-starrer of Superstars Shivarajkumar and Sudeep is in limelight, from the day it was officially launched.

The film-makers of the bilingual flick is trying hard to rope Kamal Haasan. What is Kamal Haasan acting in Kannada movie? Not really. The Tamil Superstar has been approached by director Prem to play the role of Shivarajkumar in the Tamil version of Kali.

Speaking to the media Prem has given a clarification about Kamal Haasan's inclusion in Kali. He said, "I met Kamal sir to play the lead in this bilingual. I wanted him to essay Shivarajkumar's role in the Tamil version. I met him a couple of days ago and narrated the script. He liked it a lot, but there are issues with the dates. It is a period film inspired by the Mahabharata. Kamal sir is willing to work on this film, but the only problem is I might need about 150 days for the shoot.

He continued to tell, "Since Kamal sir is already held up with other projects, he said it would be difficult to give bulk dates to me. He has given me another option - he has said he can shoot his part in one schedule. But that, since the film has a lot of CG work, might be a little difficult. Nevertheless, we are working on the schedule again for Kamal sir. We should hopefully finalise everything by the end of this week."

If everything works according to the plan, then audiences will enjoy both Kannada and Tamil versions of Kali, because of the lead roles Shivarajkumar-Sudeep-Kamal-Haasan, respectively.
