'Yuga Yugaadi Kaledaru Yugaadi Marali Barutide', this song from Kulavadhu depicts how prominently Ugaadi is celebrated down South. 2015 has brought more sunshine to Sandalwood. Here we bring to you Sandalwood round up on Ugaadi festival. Read below...
Firstly, Shivarajkumar's 'Santheyalli Nintha Kabira' movie was launched on this auspicious day Ugaadi, which is said to be Kannada New Year. The grand function was held at Palace Grounds and Puneeth Rajkumar, Mrs Shivarajkumar, Raghvendra and Vinay Rajkumar were present at the event.
Secondly, as a special treat on Ugaadi, Puneeth Rajkumar's upcoming movie Rana Vikrama's audio was released at FM Radio Station Radio City 91.3.
Also, apart from Rajkumar brothers being in the spotlight! Their son Vinay Rajkumar is also on a high! After receiving sucess from his debut movie Siddhartha, Vinay's second movie was launched on Ugaadi. Jogi Prem has said the action-cut to the movie.
Though Rajkumar family is leading in the Kannada film industry, Sudeep is also in the limelight for his upcoming movie Ranna. Directed by Nanda Kishore Ranna is slated to release on April 2. For Ugaadi festival, Kiccha's Ranna special interview was telecasted in Zee Kannada.
After Sudeep's Ranna, its Yogaraj Bhat's Vaasthu Prakara. Vaasthu Prakara is also slated to release on April 2. For Ugaadi, team Vaasthu Prakara was spotted at cookery show, Oggarane Dabbi and promoted the movie.

Shivarajkumar's Santheyalli Nintha Kabira
Shivarajkumar's Santheyalli Nintha Kabira was launched on Ugaadi as a treat to all his fans. The grand muhurtha took place at Palace Grounds from 8.30 onwards. Interestingly, Tamil actor Sharath Kumar and Bollywood actor Om Puri is making a comeback to Sandalwood through this movie.
Puneeth's Rana Vikrama
The much talked movie Rana Vikrama is slated to release in April. Touted to be an high octane entertainer, Rana Vikrama's audio was officially launched on March 20th in Radio City, FM station on March 20th, as Ugaadi treat for Powerstar fans.
Jogi Prem's Next With Vinay Rajkumar
After giving a hit debut movie Siddhartha, Vinay Rajkumar has signed a movie with be actor-director Jogi Prem. This will be Prem's third movie with Rajkumar family. Earlier, Prem directed Shivarajkumar's Jogi and Puneeth's Raaj.
Sudeep's Special Interview On Ranna
For Ugaadi their was a special interview telecasted in Zee Kannada. It was a nice show hosted by RJ Niranjan Deshpande. Niranjan made it more interesting by asking twisting questions to Kiccha. Well, Abhinaya Chakravarthy shared his fantabulous experience acting in Ranna.

Vaasthu Prakara In Oggarane Dabbi
Yogaraj Bhat's upcoming movie Vaasthu Prakara is releasing on April 2. On behalf of Ugaadi festival, director Yogaraj Bhat and lead pair Rakshit and Aishani Shetty prepared special dishes for the viewers and also promoted the movie.

For Ugaadi festival, there has been released two movies Raate(Rhaatee) and Krishna Leela in Sandalwood. According to the reports in Gandhinagara, both the movies have received a thumbs up from both critics and audience.
