Dodmane Hudga Postponed Again!

By Santhosh Kumar

The most awaited movie of the season Dodmane Hudga was cleared by the Regional Censor board yesterday and the movie got a U/A Certificate from the Censor board. With this, all hurdles for the movie's release have been cleared.

Initially, the team had announced that the movie will release on September 23rd; however, the release has been postponed by the producers, owing to the delay from the Censor board. The team needs time for promotions and one week is not good enough for the makers.

As per the latest buzz, the movie may hit the screens in the last week of September, i.e., 29th/30th. But the team is yet to make any formal announcement regarding the release. Announcement is expected to be made in a day or two.

Trade Pundits consider this as a very good date, as that week has couple of government holidays, apart from the Dasara Holidays that will be commencing for schools, which will ensure family audience flocking to the theatres.

With this postponement, we should see what the next move of Mukunda Murari producers will be, as they were planning for a grand release on September 30th. As per sources, both the movies will not release in the same week for sure.

Also, there was news that a grand release was being planned in overseas and a star-studded premier was scheduled to be held in London before the theatrical release. With the change in release date, we should see whether this plan will be cancelled or postponed as well.

M. Govindu has bankrolled this most-expected project. Suri has directed the flick, apart from working on the story, screenplay and dialogues. V. Harikrishna has composed the music and Sathya Hegde has cranked the camera.
