Chakravarthy starring Darshan already has the Sandalwood's eye on it, after the release of its sensational first look posters. Apparently, the film is grabbing the attention of everyone as it progresses.

The latest update about the film suggests that, Anjali has been cast as the female lead of the film, since the script demands a village belle, to justify the love track laced around the story. Though the film is touted to be an action entertainer, shot in the backdrop of gangsters, it apparently has a sentimental side to the story.

Talking to a leading daily, "We were looking for an actress who can carry a traditional homely image. We found Anjali apt in every way," said Chintan, the director of the film.

"Going by the characters, Anjali has played in her films, we are confident that she will justify the role. It was not an individual decision but more of a unanimous choice by the entire team of Chakravarthy," he further added.

When quizzed about the complete details of the film, "Our project will start once Darshan is completely done with his current project Jaggu Dada. As per plan, we might either start by April end on May 1st week, Chintan said, hinting that he would want to reveal the full details only once it kick-starts.
