Satish Jarkiholi, the politician, is now venturing into film industry by producing a Kannada film. He is putting in maximum efforts to make a mark with his maiden venture.
The film is titled as High Command and it is a humorous take on several politicians and the untold stories of Indian politics. Satish Jarkiholi has taken care of the script and a team of writers are working on the screenplay now.
Nagendra Magadi, whose last release was Vinod Prabhakar's Hori, is directing the film along with working on the screenplay of the film. The team led by him is busy with the pre-production work now.
The makers intend to start shooting for the film from January 2017 and are aiming for release in June 2017 if everything goes as planned. The producer is confident of finishing the work within 6 months.
The team is currently busy with auditions for selecting the actors, who resemble popular politicians and can portray such roles efficiently. Auditions in Belagavi, Kalburgi and Chitradurga were completed last month.
Auditions in Bangalore were conducted today(November 6), will be conducted in Mysore on November 13 and Mangalore on November 20. The team is also looking for the new artists with a theater background, who can fit into the roles sketched by Jarkiholi.
Renowned cinematographer Ramesh Babu has been roped in to crank the camera. Keshavadithya of Sangolli Rayanna will be penning the dialogues. The film is being produced under the banner Buddha Cine Combines.
This year we have seen several top politicians venturing into film production to launch their sons and results have not been satisfactory. We have to wait and see how High Command will be received by audience.
