The blockbuster hit of 2015, Rathaavara is back in the limelight. The movie starring Sri Murali, Rachita Ram, Sourav Lokesh and Ravishankar in pivotal roles is now making rounds in the Tamil film industry.
Earlier, there was a rumour that, Rathaavara will be remade in Tamil. The latest reports from Gandhinagara confirms it. Actor Vishal is remaking the movie and Kannada director Chandrashekar Bandiyappa, himself is helming the project.
Speaking to a leading daily Chandrashekar Bandiyappa has revealed that, "Everything is confirmed and we just need to discuss when the film will be going on the floors, which will happen after Sankranthi".
"Vishal has a Tamil movie Kathakali slated for Sankranthi release and he is busy with the project. The actor liked Rathaavara and he came forward to remake it in Tamil. Since he has market in Tollywood, the movie will be dubbed in Telugu. We are planning to bring the right star so that it will be considered in Malayalam too" said Chandrashekar Bandiyappa.
Rathaavara was released on Dec 4 and the movie portrayed the rivalry between the protagonists Sri Murali and Ravishankar. The main highlight of the film was Sourav Lokesh, popularly called as 'Bhajarangi Loki', who played a transgender in the movie.
Apart from the lead roles, Rathaavara includes brilliant technical aspects like audio songs and BGM, which won the hearts of Kannada audiences. The movie received mixed reviews, but turned out to be a success at the box office.
The movie is presently heading towards completing 50 successful days at the theatres. Will Vishal re-create the movie in Tamil as well or make some changes according to the nativity of Tamil audiences? Let's and see.
