Thanks to a special screening arranged by film-maker Anurag Kashyap, National Award winning movie Thithi was enjoyed by Hindi celebrities in Mumbai, according to a report from Times of India.
Anurag, who had shared his thoughts about the film on his
Twitter page, once again took to his social media page after
viewing the film for the fourth time, this time with his
"Saw Thithi the 4th time and it was funnier than it was ever
before. I seriously envy this Ram Reddy, how do you make non actors
act so well?" he said.
Veteran film-maker Shekhar Kapoor too, hailed the film, he said,
"I really liked it. it's very difficult to make such observational
films and sometimes I wonder how people write these scripts because
there is natural tendency to high drama, we get dramatic when we
write and it's not easy to have the confidence or the patience to
sit back and make a film as it's clearly observational and it's
just kind of gradually emerges."
National Award winning actress Kangana Ranaut said, "I really
enjoyed the film and I think it's very different, very unusual for
Indian cinegoers so please go watch it and have fun."
"It's so gently, minutely, delicately and beautifully told. It's
so warm and so engrossing simultaneously. The performances are
brilliant. Really very well done," Sudhir Mishra said.
But it was Aamir Khan's thoughts about the movie, that
really got the attention of one and all.
"Hey guys, just saw one of the most amazing films I have seen in
a long time! Thithi. Absolutely unbelievable performance! And all
non-actors in the film. And how funny is it, it's a little
difficult to slot it into a genre, but it's really funny. Don't
miss it. Love. a," Aamir said.
