Power
Star
Puneeth
Rajkumar's
Raajakumara
completed
50
days
in
record
number
of
theatres
in
Karnataka.
Despite
the
stiff
competition
from
several
biggies
from
different
languages,
collections
of
the
film
were
rock
steady.
We
have
tried
to
list
out
five
reasons
on
why
the
movie
was
able
to
get
the
stupendous
success
at
the
box-office.

Power
Star
Puneeth:
Appu,
as
lovingly
called
by
Sandalwood
and
fans,
is
one
of
the
major
reasons
for
the
success.
Appu
has
portrayed
the
role
of
an
NRI
and
he
has
lived
the
role
of
Siddharth.
His
dances
and
fights
are
another
major
attraction,
with
Appu
Dance
being
the
best
of
Puneeth.
His
performance
in
both
Australian
and
Indian
episodes
are
noteworthy.
He
has
given
his
career-best
performance,
especially
in
the
scenes
that
show
the
old-age
home.
With
the
film,
he
once
again
proves
that
he
is
one
of
the
best
performers
in
the
Sandalwood
industry.

"Raajakumara" Title:
Once
the
makers
announced
the
title
as
Raajakumara,
there
was
a
fantabulous
response
from
the
fans
allover.
Who
better
than
legend
Rajkumar's
son
Appu
to
play
the
title
role,
eh?
Along
with
the
title,
'Kasthuri
Nivasa'
reference
has
also
worked
well.
There
were
efforts
in
the
past
from
several
film-makers
to
have
this
title
for
Shivanna
and
Appu's
films,
but
they
were
reluctant
to
have
this
title,
as
they
felt
it
may
not
suit
the
script.
For
this
film,
Appu
gave
a
go-ahead,
as
he
felt
the
script
would
suit
the
title
impeccably.

A
Good
Script:
Santhosh
Anandram,
after
the
success
of
his
debut
Mr
and
Mrs
Ramachari,
has
penned
yet
another
script
along
with
his
friend
Vijay
Nagendra
and
team.
There
have
been
many
instances
of
big-starrer
films
bombing
at
the
box-office
due
to
bad
story/script.
However,
thanks
to
the
good
script,
huge
expectations
around
the
film
only
helped
further
to
get
better
collections.
Along
with
the
good
storyline,
the
team
had
also
got
a
good
screenplay
weaved
around
it,
which
is
the
reason
the
family
audiences
are
flocking
to
the
theaters
even
in
the
seventh
week
of
the
movie's
release.

Bombe
Helutaithe:
This
song,
despite
not
being
massy
or
with
beats,
sure
makes
the
fans
go
crazy,
and
it
can
be
declared
as
the
best
song
in
the
recent
past.
Since
the
day
the
song
was
launched,
it
got
an
amazing
response.
As
composer
Harikrishna
pointed
out,
this
is
truly
one
of
the
best
songs
to
have
come
out
from
him.
Not
to
forget,
Vijayprakash's
soulful
rendering,
which
has
taken
the
song
to
the
next
level.
With
perfect
visuals
in
the
film,
this
is
that
one
song
which
will
touch
the
hearts
of
each
person
watching
it.

The
Starcast:
The
makers
did
manage
to
get
an
excellent
starcast
for
each
and
every
role.
This
has
helped
the
film
to
a
major
extent,
as
all
the
artists
have
only
bettered
their
roles.
Veterans
Ananth
Nag,
Dathanna,
Sarath
Kumar,
Prakash
Raj
and
many
others
have
done
complete
justice
to
their
respective
roles.
