Sunil Kumar Desai's Next Film Udgharsha Launched
After the film Re in 2016, director Sunil Kumar Desai is back again with his new project starring Thakur Anoop Singh and Sai Dhansika in the lead roles.
Veteran Director Sunil Kumar Desai tried his luck last year with Re, which was touted as his comeback film, but film could not do well at the box-office. He is trying his luck again with a new film titled Udgharsha.
Sunil Kumar Desai had delivered number of hits in thriller and horror genres and now he has chosen the script of the same genre for his next. This time, he is making a Kannada and Telugu bilingual with actors from both the industries playing vital roles.
Thakur Anoop Singh who played negative roles in Telugu/Tamil films like Singam 3 and Winner, has been roped in to play the lead role. His debut Kannada film was Rogue in which he had played a negative role too.
Sai Dhansika who became popular last year with her noteworthy performance in Rajinikanth'a Kabali has been signed on to play the female lead. Other details of star cast are yet to be revealed by the team.
The film was launched earlier today in Madikeri where the first schedule featuring the lead pair Thakur Anoop Singh and Sai Dhansika will be shot over the next few weeks. The film will be shot in various locations of Bangalore and Madikeri.
Thakor Anoop Singh tweeted confirming the news that he is part of the film - "Happy to share the news with all !! Started shooting my next in Telugu and Kannada titled #udgharsha !! Time to raise the bar!"
He also confirmed that film was launched and shared a pic from the launch - "Mahurat shot at the Ganesha temple, madikeri, coorg! @SaiDhanshika @SunilkumarDesai #udgharsha."
Team had revealed only Anoop Singh in the posters released yesterday. Heroine Sai Dhansika revealed that she is part of the film - "Starting my new film in Kannada & Telugu "Udgharsha" !! Simply wonderful to be a part of Dir.sunil Kumar Desai."
Manjunath has bankrolled the film under his banner Mayura Motion Pictures. Director has roped in two popular cinematographers KM Vishnuvardhan and Sekhar Chandra for the film. Ravivarma will be action diretor and BS Kemparaju will be the editor.
