20-Day
Gross
According
to
the
latest
trade
estimates,
The
Villain
collected
nearly
1
Crore
at
the
box
office
on
November
6,
2018
and
continued
its
dream
run.
Its
20-day
gross
at
the
worldwide
box
office
currently
stands
at
Rs
123
Crore
which
is
a
pretty
healthy
number.
A
Big
Winner
The
Villain
is
one
of
the
most
ambitious
Kannada
films
in
the
recent
times.
It
has
been
shot
against
a
budget
of
Rs
60
Crore
and
was
released
on
more
than
500
screens
in
Karnataka
in
Week
1.
As
such,
it
needed
to
perform
exceptionally
well
in
order
to
emerge
as
a
winner.
And,
judging
by
the
latest
figures,
it
has
lived
done
just
that.
The
Villain
Beats
The
Mixed
WOM
The
Villain
managed
to
impress
Sudeep
fans
as
they
felt
that
it
did
full
justice
to
his
mass
hero
image.
However,
it
failed
to
satisfy
Shivarajkumar's
fans
as
Shivanna
has
a
relatively
smaller
role
than
Deepanna.
Moreover,
several
critics
criticised
the
screenplay
and
termed
it
as
‘illogical'.
As
such,
the
WOM
was
mixed.
The
latest
figures
indicate
that
the
film
has
overcome
the
mixed
WOM
like
a
boss,
The
Way
Ahead...
The
Villain
is
a
landmark
film
for
Sandalwood
and
there
are
no
ways
about
this.
The
film
is
likely
to
rake
in
some
more
money
in
the
coming
days
before
ending
its
run
on
a
glorious
note.
