Kabzaa Day 1 Box Office Collection: Upendra's Period Action Film Opens Big In Karnataka; Check Out Figures

Upendra-starrer high-octane action thriller Kabzaa was released all over the world on March 17, amid huge expectations from fans of the respective actors and regular moviegoers. Kiccha Sudeep and Shiva Rajkumar have appeared in crucial roles in Kabzaa.

Kabzaa's story is about an Air Force soldier Arakeshwara, who enters the Underground unwillingly. In 1934, during British rule, he is sent on a mission to capture a gangster named Siddhantha. However, in a twist of the tale, Arakeshwara becomes the king of the underworld. Cut to 1937, a ruthless cop Bhargav Bhakshi is deployed by the British to nab Arakeshwara.

On the opening day, Kabzaa, which was released in five languages, managed to earn somewhere between Rs 12 and Rs 15 Crore from only Karnataka alone. The movie was estimated to earn about Rs 30 Crore from all languages all over the world, on day 1.

Kabzaa's digital streaming rights were bought by OTT giant Amazon Prime Video for a whopping Rs 140 Crore, according to the available information. The movie was reviewed as a routine fair with similarities to Prashanth Neel's KGF in terms of taking, visuals, and presentation. KGF Fame Ravi Basrur's music for Kabzaa although appreciated has become one of the key reasons to draw comparisons.

Along with Upendra, Shiva Rajkumar, and Kiccha Sudeep, Kabzaa also stars Shriya Saran, Murali Sharma, Nawab Shah, John Kokken, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sudha, Kabir Duhan Singh, Dev Gill, Taaha Shah, Pramod Shetty, B Suresh, and Tanya Hope among others in crucial roles.

The movie's cinematography was handled by AJ Shetty and Mahesh S Reddy worked as the editor. KGF fame Ravi Basrur composed the entire film's music and score.
