After
a
long
gap,
crazy
star
Ravichandran
has
made
his
comeback
to
the
big
screen
with
a
big
bang.
His
latest
movie
Hoo,
which
features
bombshell
Namitha
and
actress
Meera
Jasmine
in
the
female
leads,
is
a
remake
of
Telugu
movie
Vasantham.
Director
Ravichandran
has
made
a
few
changes
from
the
original
to
suit
the
taste
of
the
local
audience.
Hoo
is
a
romantic
flick,
which
has
an
age-old
story
and
dull
narration.
The
highlights
of
the
film
are
Ravichandran"s
performance,
Namitha"s
glamour,
comedy
and
Ismail
and
Raghu"s
artwork.
The
music
will
usually
be
the
first
highlight
of
Ravichandran"s
films,
but
V
Harikrishna"s
music
in
Hoo
utterly
disappoints
his
fans.
Ravichandran
has
been
a
true
worshiper
of
love
and
friendship
in
almost
all
his
previous
movies
and
he
has
chosen
the
same
as
the
subject
of
Hoo.
It
is
all
about
a
jobless
youngster,
who
becomes
a
chess
player
with
the
insistence
of
his
girlfriend,
but
he
is
trapped
between
friendship
and
love
when
he
falls
in
love
with
another
girl.
Anand
(Ravichandran)
is
a
chess
Player
and
Jasmine
(Meera
Jasmine)
is
a
music
teacher.
They
are
childhood
friends.
After
the
death
of
her
father
(Rangayana
Raghu),
a
cake
maker,
Jasmine
stays
with
Anand.
She
stands
by
him
and
insists
him
to
continue
as
a
chess
player
while
his
family
forces
him
to
quit
chess
as
he
does
not
have
a
steady
earning.
But
he
lands
at
a
trouble
when
he
falls
in
love
with
(Anju)
Namitha.
What
happens
next
will
form
the
interesting
part
of
the
film.
As
usual,
Ravichandran
rocks
the
audience
with
his
wonderful
performance,
but
when
compared
to
Venkatesh
in
Vasatham,
he
lacks
spontaneity.
Meera
Jasmine
is
good
in
her
role
as
Jasmine
and
she
fills
life
to
her
role
her
expressive
eyes
and
body
language.
Namitha
has
a
less
scope
in
the
film
when
compared
to
Meera,
but
she
is
successful
in
entertaining
prankster
with
her
ample
twin
assets.
Others
are
also
good
in
their
respective
roles.
The
film
suffers
from
weak
technical
aspect.
Ismail
and
Raghu"s
artwork
is
the
only
plus
point.
V
Harikrishna"s
music
and
GSV
Seetharam"s
camera
works
are
the
biggest
disappoints
of
the
film.
However,
Hoo
comes
as
a
harbinger
of
spring
season.
