Prajwal
Devaraj,
the
son
of
Dynamic
Hero
Devaraj,
has
acted
in
over
10
movies
and
still
he
has
not
registered
a
big
hit
to
his
credit.
Though
he
has
delivered
quite
a
few
moderate
hits,
the
actor
is
yet
to
give
a
movie
that
would
make
him
a
bankable
star.
The
budding
actor
is
back
with
his
latest
flick
Sagar
where
he
will
be
seen
with
three
hot
and
happening
actresses:
Radhika
Pandit,
Haripriya
and
Sanjjanaa.
Has
the
lady
luck
smiled
this
time
on
him?

Sagar
played
by
Prajwal
Devaraj
returns
to
India
after
completing
his
education
in
Australia
where
he
has
few
good
friends
including
Jenny
(Sanjjanaa).
He
comes
from
a
rich
business
family
headed
by
Rajashekar
(Avinash).
His
arrival
to
this
happy
home
is
welcomed
by
his
marriage
proposal
to
his
uncle's
daughter
Priyanka
(Haripriya).
Their
wedding
is
fixed
well
before
and
they
know
it
too.
Sagar-Priyanka,
who
agree
to
tie
the
knot,
spend
time
with
each
other
to
know
whether
they
can
fall
in
love
but
realise
that
they
do
not
share
a
great
chemistry.
Hence,
they
decide
to
call
off
the
marriage,
and
Sagar
does
it
by
claiming
that
he
is
in
love
with
Kajal
(Radhika
Pandit).
Though
he
has
not
met
her,
he
manages
to
tell
a
pack
of
lies
to
convince
his
family.
His
friend
Jenny
bails
him
out
of
the
trouble
by
sending
the
photo
of
Kajal.
On
the
other
end,
Sampanth
(Sharath
Lohitashwa),
the
rival
of
Rajashekar,
is
waiting
to
settle
the
score
for
an
earlier
incident.
At
this
juncture,
Kajal
surprisingly
enters
Sagar's
home
and
gives
life
to
all
his
lies.
What
is
the
connection
between
Sagar
&
her
and
his
family?
Whom
will
Sagar
admit
as
his
love?
Answers
to
all
these
questions
should
be
seen
on-screen.
Director
MD
Sridhar
has
taken
an
usual
story
but
he
has
tried
to
make
it
different
by
adding
all
the
commercial
elements
and
twists
to
the
film.
But
unfortunately,
he
fails
to
make
the
movie
an
engaging
affair.
In
the
first
half,
the
progress
of
the
story
is
slow
and
it
is
not
impressive
but
there
are
some
interesting
twists.
However,
the
second
half
is
predictable
and
too
boring.
The
tale
drags
to
the
maximum
extent
in
the
later
phase
leaving
the
audience
wondering
when
the
movie
would
come
to
an
end!
The
highlight
of
the
movie
is
the
technical
values.
The
action
sequences,
songs
picturisation
&
its
choreography
and
the
music
are
good.
The
director
has
brought
the
best
out
of
his
technical
team.
AV
Krishna
Kumar's
cinematography
is
excellent
and
Guru
Kiran's
three
songs
-
'Koli
Kodagana',
'Bikeu
Hattidare'
and
'Ondu
Early
Morning'
-
are
our
picks.
When
it
comes
to
performance,
Prajwal
Devaraj
has
done
a
good
job.
He
acts
and
fights
well
but
the
biggest
drawback
is
his
excessive
weight
and
it
does
not
compliment
his
overall
good-looking
personality.
Among
actresses,
Radhika
Pandit
is
best
among
the
lot.
She
is
charming
all
through
the
film.
Next
comes
Haripriya,
who
is
good
in
her
role.
But
her
role
looks
dull
once
Radhika
enters
the
the
picture.
Last
but
not
the
least,
Sanjjanaa
is
in
her
usual
best.
She
has
done
a
blink-and-miss
appearance
along
with
a
special
song.
However,
Dev
Gill's
role
and
Aadhi
Lokesh's
roles
are
not
well-scripted
and
the
latter
has
not
been
used
up
to
his
abilities.
Rest
other
characters
are
okay.
Verdict:
Sagar
has
nothing
new
to
offer.
Watch
it
only
to
enjoy
the
technical
brilliance.
