Paramashiva - Movie Review

Rating:
3.0/5

Crazy Star Ravichandran has had an amazing year so far. His movies Maanikya along with Sudeep has been the highest grosser of all times. His second movie in the year, Drishya also became a super hit and managed to get rave reviews from the critics and viewers. The star is back with his third movie of the year titled Paramashiva.

Paramashiva is the remake of 2001 Tamil movie Samudhiram starring Sarath Kumar. The movie is a family drama. Movie has been directed by Mahesh Babu and produced by Anaji Nagraj. Ravichandran is the head of a family. He has two brothers and a sister. Vijay Raghavendra plays the role of brother to Ravichandran. Sakshi Shivanand plays the role of Ravichandran's wife. The younger brothers adore Ravichandran and would readily do anything for him. However, it is the sister who all the three brothers adore and love the most.

The trouble in the family brews when a wealthy man from another village decides to take revenge on Ravichandran's family due to a small altercation. He gets his son married to Ravichandran's sister and starts to ill-treat her at every opportunity he gets. Whether Ravichandran and his brother manage to reform their sister's in-laws and will the family unite is the main part of the story.

The story is simple and family oriented. Music composed by Arjun Janya and S A Rajkumar is average. Ravichandran is in his elements as a head of the family. He has essayed this role far too many times and has become quite adept at it. The supporting cast have done an average performance.

Since the story line has nothing new to offer, it may not go well with the young audience. Although Sadhu Kokila provides some comic relief in the movie, it is usually repetitive and may fail to evoke any laughter. Movie has been made for family audience.
