Actor
Duniya
Vijay
is
back
on
the
silver
screen
with
his
new
movie
Simhadri.
The
movie
marks
the
return
of
director
Shivamani
after
a
break
of
five
years.
The
movie
is
set
in
a
backdrop
of
brother-sister
relationship
living
in
a
village.
The
movie
is
basically
a
family
drama.
The
movie
is
the
story
about
a
guy
named
Simhadri
(Duniya
Vijay).
He
is
a
son
of
a
farmer
in
a
small
village.
He
is
very
attached
to
his
younger
sister
Nandhini
(Aishwarya)
and
his
cows,
and
would
do
anything
to
guard
their
honor.
Simhadri
gets
his
sister
married
to
a
wealthy
man's
son.
However,
soon
after
the
marriage,
his
sister
is
blamed
to
bring
ill
fate
to
the
wealth
man's
family.
The
movie
takes
a
melodramatic
turn.
While
the
younger
sister
suffers
at
the
hand
of
her
in-laws,
Simhadri
is
unable
to
help
her.
Simhadri
has
to
convince
his
sister's
in-law
to
reform
their
ways,
while
making
sure
her
sister
does
not
suffer
more
at
their
hands.
Does
Simhadri
success
in
this
mission,
is
the
crux
of
the
story.
The
movie
is
very
melodramatic
and
fails
to
make
any
impact
with
the
story
line.
Although
the
movie
script
is
original,
the
story
feels
like
a
old
wine
in
a
new
bottle.
The
acting
by
Duniya
Vijay
is
average.
He
does
salvage
some
pride
by
doing
excellent
action
sequence.
Soundarya
Jayamala
plays
the
role
of
Suma,
Simhadri's
wife.
Her
role
has
not
much
scope
in
the
story
line
and
fails
to
make
any
impact.
Actor
Suchendra
Prasad
and
Ramesh
Bhat
have
done
an
impressive
job
in
the
acting
department.
While
the
story
line
of
the
movie
is
average,
the
direction
and
edition
fails
to
impress.
Arjun
Janya
composed
the
music
for
the
song
and
this
is
clearly
not
his
best
effort.
The
movie
is
made
for
family
audience.
Duniya
Vijay
fans
will
be
happy
to
see
him
in
action
and
perform
some
great
fight
scenes.
