Kaniha Reacts Against Moral Policing

Actress Kaniha reacted harshly against moral policing through her official Facebook page. The actress was responding to the recent criticisms she faced, for posting a beach side photograph in her Facebook page. The actress was widely criticized for her costumes in the photograph.

But, Kaniha who reacted to the criticisms, says that she is absolutely comfortable in wearing such outfits; and that is the only thing she is concerned about. The actress points out that you cannot wear a sari while you are in a beach town. Kaniha also states her family and friends respect her for her individuality; not for her costumes.

Kaniha says that she hopes her 4 year old son will not grow up to be a shallow narrow minded man. She states that she will bring her son up as a man who will respect women for their values and actions; not for their clothes. Kaniha also requested the people who criticized her, to impart good values in their children instead of judging other people.

Social media attacks on celebrities has been increasing since last few years. Prithviraj, Salim Kumar and Ananya are some of the actors who suffered most with such attacks. Recently, Mohanlal has moved legally against a Facebook page, which published some posts which insults the family members of the actor.
