Malayalam Movies Releasing In Theatres And OTT Platforms This Weekend
Theatre Release: Tomorrow marks the long-awaited release of 'Padmini,' an eagerly anticipated film starring the exceptional Kunchacko Boban. Initially slated for a July 7 release, the film's creators made the decision to delay its premiere until July 14 due to adverse weather conditions in Kerala and the subsequent challenges faced by the local community.
Directed by Senna Hegde, known for his previous works 'Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam' and '1744 White Alto,' 'Padmini' boasts a stellar cast, including Aparna Balamurali, Madonna Sebastian, and Vincy Aloshious in leading roles.
Suvin K. Varkey and Prasobh Krishna have produced the film under the banner of Little Big Films. Deepu Pradeep, renowned for his screenplay work in 'Kunjiramayanam,' also produced by Little Big Films, lends his writing expertise to 'Padmini.'
Recently unveiled, the trailer for 'Padmini' has generated quite the buzz among movie enthusiasts. Audiences were already impressed by the earlier released teaser and the melodious track 'Love You Muthe,' which struck a chord with music lovers.
The ensemble cast includes Malavika Menon, Atif Salim, Sajin Cherukail, Ganapathy, Anand Manmathan, Seema G. Nair, Gokulan, and James Elia. Promising rib-tickling moments, the filmmakers assure that 'Padmini' will be a laughter-filled comedy extravaganza.
Sachin Warrier lends his vocals to the film's song, accompanied by the compositions of Jakes Bijoy. Tito P. Thangachan has penned the lyrics. Sriraj Ravindran is the film's cinematographer, while Manu Antony handles the editing. Vineeth Pullutan serves as the executive producer. Other key contributors include Manoj Poonkunnam as the production controller, Arshad Nakoth as the art director, Ranjith Manaliparam as the makeup artist, Gayatri Kishore as the costume designer, and Shijin P. Raj as the still photographer.
Chief associate directors Vishnu Dev and Shankar Lohitakshan lead the crew, with Unni Poonkunnam and Shinto Irinjalakuda as production executives. Central Pictures Release handles the film's distribution, while Puppet Media takes charge of the marketing design. Vaishakh Vadakkeveed and Jinu Anilkumar oversee PR and digital marketing, with AS Dinesh serving as the film's PRO.

In other news, after her successful comeback in Mollywood with the film 'Ntikkakkakkoru Premandaarnnu,' actor Bhavana has exciting news for her fans. The film, which premiered in theatres back in February, is set for release on a prominent OTT platform. Three months after its theatrical run, 'Ntikkakkakkoru Premandaarnnu' will be available for streaming on Manorama Max starting July 14.
This romantic tale also stars Sharafudheen in a leading role and centres around the reunion of two long-lost lovers. While Bhavana's character, Nithya, is married, Jimmy (Sharafudheen) faces pressure from his family to marry someone of their choice. Destiny brings them together during this crucial phase, reigniting the connection disrupted by their parents.
