Basheerinte Premalekhanam

Aneesh Anwar fails to impress this time. The film-maker in him is left confused most of the times. He has fizzled out in the romantic sequences, failing to establish the chemistry between the lead pair. He has done a good job by creating the mood of the 1980s but that solely wasn't enough to save the movie. The title character Basheer has been portrayed by Farhaan Faasil. The young actor, in his second film has put up an 'okay' performance. In fact, he didn't look that convincing in most of the romantic sequences. He has tried to bring in some differences but couldn't pull them off in the best possible manner. Basheerinte Premalekhanam is a trip down the memory lane, which fails to create the necessary impact. The film's plot and premises get full marks but the final product, isn't convincing.
