Happy Singh movie will be directed by VM.Vinu and Mohanlal will be in the lead role.Movie unfolds in a village where wrestling is a popular sport. The movie is set in the 80s and will see Mohanlal playing a wrestler named Happy Singh. It is going to be an out and out comedy entertainer.

The director is planning to shoot the yet to be titled film in Pnjab and Bangalore. while joshy's Lokpal also saw Mohanlal in a sardar;s role, it was just one of the eight disguises that he sports in the movie. But in this film will see him playing a full-fledged role of that of a sardar for the first time in his two-decade long career.
