Mazhameghapravukal movie tells the story of a girl Maalu ( Kavya Madhavan) who is living in the hilly areas of Kerala falling in love with a youth just by seeing his photograph (Shiju) and going head over heels for the guy whom she has not seen in flesh and blood.
She even spurns a childhood friend Sreekuttan (Krishna) who is after her and loves her very much.
