Lanka delayed

For some reasons, the release of the Suresh Gopi- Mamta Mohandas starrer 'Lanka' didn't take place on the 24th of February, contrary to earlier announcements.

Many theatres eagerly awaited the release of the much-publicized film starring Suresh Gopi and Mamta Mohandas. Its romantic scenes and the fact that the action thriller was shot in Sri Lanka, turned out to be the biggest attractions for it. But now, the film's producer has announced that 'Lanka' will hit the theatres only on the 3rd of March.

The delay is believed to be due to some financial hardship that the producer had run into. He had earlier made the Mohanlal-starrer 'Chandrotsavam' had had incurred huge losses when the film crashed at the box office.

But it is widely believed that the film's release might be delayed again to coincide with the Vishu releases.
