Meenakshi wins Best Actress Award

Kozhikode(UNI): Noted television personality Meenakshi has been selected for best actress award for her outstanding performance in the serial 'Mrs and Mr Panikkar' telecast by Kairali satellite channel. Cine-serial artiste Jagdish and Aneesh won the best actor award instituted by Filmcity magazine, the former for his role in 'Life is Beautiful in Asianet, award commitee chairman G Hiran and chief editor of the magazine P V Naveendran told reporters here. Capt Raju has been selected for 'Natanaratnam' award for his oustanding contribution to film and television industry, they said.

'Orma' by M V Sreyas Kumar (Matrubhumi TV), won the best serial award while Jyanaseelan has been chosen as director (Minnukettu-Surya) and Anil walked away the cinematrographer award for (Kayamkulam Kochunni-Surya), they said.Kuttikkal Jayachandran, best comedian Indumukhi Chandramathi-Surya), Sreekutty, best comedy actress (Gulumal-DD), Narayanan Nair, (Minnukett), Harisanth (MT Kathakal-Amrita TV), Ambika Mohan (Sagaram-DD), Sruthi Nair (Minnuekett) and Venugopal and Jyotsana were best singer awardees, they said. They also announced awards for various category programmes including, Komadiyum, Mimixum Pinne Jxanum, by the Kairali. The awards would be presented here in May, they added.
