The well known and popular story of Oliver Twist is to be made as a film in Malayalam. This new venture of director Satish Paul V. Raaj is to start by 30th of this month. The shooting will proceed in various locations around Vagamon, Kuttikanam and Kochi.
The story was written by famous writer Charles Dickens, and mainly revolves around a small orphan boy, Oliver Twist. This novel elucidates the miserable life of the poor orphan.
The debut director Satish Paul V. Raaj is to handle this subject with a young artist named Udaya Raj, who has received the National Award for his character in Nilakkalam.
He has also done more than 40 movies as a child artist. The popular director in Malayalam, Thampi Kannanthanam, is to play the role of the strict tyrant of the juvenile home.
The movie is produced by V.K.K. Panicker. The producer said that he is not money-oriented but his intention is to give good movies in Malayalam film industry.
